“Leaders do not avoid, repress or deny conflict, but rather see it as an opportunity.”

The Mediation Process

1

Consultation with parties.

You’ll be asked a few questions to help us understand the nature of the conflict and attempts at resolution to this point. You will be provided opportunity to ask questions about the process.

2

Establish mediation plan.

Parties will agree upon the approach that best suits their situation and a strategy will be implemented to move the process forward.

3

Begin mediation.

Each session will have a set of ground rules to guide conversation. Sessions will work toward defining the issues, identifying party interests and gathering options for settlement.

4

Mutually beneficial resolution.

After assessing the options for settlement there will be room for bargaining in order to bring all interests more in line. An agreement or memorandum of understanding will be drawn up along with procedures to operate, assess and enforce the settlement.

"It’s a scary thing trying to resolve a conflict but mediation made the situation much more palatable."
